PD Dr. Matthias Längin

Matthias Längin studied Medicine at the universities of Freiburg, Germany, and Bordeaux, France (1998-2006). He acquired a doctoral degree at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, University of Tübingen, Germany, and Hôpital du Dr. Albert Schweitzer, Lambaréné, Gabon (2007).
Since 2013, he is an attending physician at the Department of Anesthesiology, LMU München, Germany. His focus is on Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine. In 2015, he acquired the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EDAIC).
Matthias Längin is principal investigator on the Project “Steps to clinical xenogeneic cardiac replacement” within the Transregional Collaborative Research Center “Biology of xenogeneic cell, tissue and organ transplantation – from bench to bedside” funded by the German Research Council.
